On-site Training

PACE Boot Camps or other individualized training can be offered at your location:

PACE Boot Camp 1 (BC1) is designed to provide individuals in business enterprises and scientific communities with improved tactics critical to design, build, verify, and test predictive data models. Data mining—the art and science of learning from data—covers a number of different procedures. This hands-on course emphasizes key learning techniques: classification, regression, association rules, and clustering. During the hands-on sessions PACE instructors will help participants hone their new skills to conquer technical obstacles to achieve their objectives.  Boot Camp participants will have access to a comprehensive set of data mining tools available on SDSC’s Gordon, one of the world’s most powerful supercomputers with 300 Terabytes of flash memory.
BC1 is a 2-day training session including two to three instructors traveling to your designated site.  Due to the hands-on nature of BC1 the training is intended for no more than 30 attendees.  The on-site 2-day training will include two instructors for classes of 20 or less, a third instructor may be required for classes up to 30.

PACE Boot Camp 2 (BC2) is designed to provide individuals in business enterprises and scientific communities with improved tactics critical to design, build, verify, and test advanced predictive data models. Data mining—the art and science of learning from data—covers a number of different procedures. This hands-on course emphasizes advanced learning techniques: Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs), Support Vector Machines (SVM), Text Mining, Collaborative Filtering, Bayesian Networks and Temporal Data Mining. During the hands-on sessions PACE instructors will help participants hone their new skills to conquer technical obstacles to achieve their objectives.  Boot Camp 2 participants will have access to a comprehensive set of data mining tools available on SDSC’s Gordon, one of the world’s most powerful supercomputers with 300 Terabytes of flash memory.
BC2 is a 2-day training session including two to three instructors traveling to your designated site.  Due to the hands-on nature of BC2 the training is intended for no more than 30 attendees.  The on-site 2-day training will include two instructors for classes of 20 or less, a third instructor may be required for classes up to 30.
